MCGP Social Services is dedicated to addressing the social, psychological, and spiritual issues and needs within the community.  To develop and implement programs by empowering and educating the communities with human services programs and resources, such as counseling, educational programs, and the necessary assistance, so the individuals and families can be self-sufficient and improve the quality of their life. Designated programs handled by the Social Services Committee include: Zakat, refugee assistance, counseling and Mental Health Services  (including Mental Health Workshops), elderly care and support, youth development, community outreach and engagement, education and literacy programs, social services coordination such as: employment training,  housing, benefits and financial literacy assistance, domestic violence support, self-sufficient/wellness/support groups and the Muslim Center’s Mental Health Research Program.
