Ms. Hussain collaborates with the MCGP Free Clinic and MCGP Zakat (charitable giving) Committee by providing direct counseling to clients and connecting them with various local services and resources.

Social Services at MCGP

The Muslim Center's Social Services collaboration with MCGP Free Clinic provides social services to the Greater Princeton area. The Muslim Center Social Services are patient-centered and will provide a safe, non-judgmental environment regardless of race, ethnicity, socioeconomic background, sexual orientation, national origin, gender, age, disability status, military status, or religious affiliation. The Muslim Center Social Services is to address socio-economic difficulties, mental health, and social well-being. We provide services to insured and uninsured individuals at no cost.

The Muslim Center Counseling services include an array of services, such as individual, couple, family, and group counseling, spiritual counselling, psychiatric services, community education, and case management.  The Muslim Center Social Services and Counseling are served on-site and referral-based to community resources.

Facing the complexities of modern-day living can lead to a range of challenges impacting both individuals and families, including issues related to marriage, substance use, a sense of spiritual disconnection, and the growing prevalence of addictions.

In response to these concerns, we've established comprehensive counseling services to provide confidential support tailored to your spiritual and professional needs. Our team consists of dedicated spiritual counselors, and we've formed partnerships with professionals to offer you additional support, entirely free of charge.

Our Mission

MCGP Social Services is dedicated to addressing social, psychological, and spiritual issues and needs within the community.  To develop and implement programs by empowering and educating the communities with human services programs and resources, such as counseling, educational programs, and the necessary assistance, so the individuals and families can be self-sufficient and improve the quality of their life. 

Services are available to all regardless of race, ethnicity, socio-economic background, sexual orientation or religious affiliation.

Social Work Services include, but are not limited to:​
  • Individual assessments

  • Ongoing case management

  • Linkage to community resources including medical care, public benefits, utility assistance, financial aid, mental health treatment sources, rental assistance, etc.

  • Advocacy

  • Short-term counseling

  • Support groups

  • Community education
