The Muslim Center of Greater Princeton was established more then 20 years ago.
We started off in a small one room office space which allowed the few Muslim families in the area a common place to pray. The vision of the founders was always to expand the center as the community grew to more than just a place where people come and pray. They wanted to create a space for their kids, family, neighbors and friends to come and strengthen the ties within the community. Over the years the center expanded and we moved into a bigger office space and then even a bigger one! This was the time when the Institute of Islamic Studies was established as the prominent Muslim center in the Mercer county area of New Jersey. Â

The center started to grow and offer additional services such as educational space for a weekend school for kids in KG - 9, a place for sisters to come together and share ideas and learn about their faith, religious lectures, youth groups, guest speakers, community volunteers, interfaith activities and many other services. . As we continued to expand and grow we needed a dedicated space and were able to purchase land and fund raise through our community to build our new mosque and community center in West Windsor.

Hunger VanÂ
Halal Meals on Wheels - The goal of the Muslim Center’s Hunger Van Initiative was to begin delivering meals first on Christmas Eve 2020 and then beyond, to help combat hunger for the holidays and to ensure that the most vulnerable children, women, and men of Mercer County, NJ were able to enjoy hearty and nutritious meals.
We acquired the van for $25,000 and raised the remaining $75,000 for food supplies to prepare meals, gasoline, a driver, and other related expenses for the entirety of a year. Â

Our goal was to reach an average of 1,000 meals served per month, serving at least 250 patrons every week, totaling 12,000 meals served by the end of 2021. Â Alhamdulilah, we achieved all of the above.
Since the local soup and food kitchens are only active Monday through Friday, we planned to serve on the weekends to fill the meal gaps for those in need.Â
EDUCATION

Over the years the school has expanded and matured and now we offer Saturday classes for students in KG - 9.  Our community has grown from having only 20 children to now over 300+! Â
The focus of the school is provide our youth a place to learn, grow, embrace their faith and help them identify as Muslims in today's environment. Hall Bookings
With its beautiful exterior and Musallah area, MCGP offers a modern facility that caters to all brides, grooms, family, and friends. Its open prayer area is the perfect place to host a Nikkah, an Islamic Marriage ceremony, as it allows visibility from all angles of the Musallah area. The mosque features intricate tile work and a beautiful chandelier that reminded me of Masjid Al-Nabawi in Medina, Saudi Arabia. You have the opportunity to book the Musallah area for up to 50 guests. Additionally, you can reserve the mosque's banquet hall. Couples typically choose to have their Nikkah in the banquet hall (separate from the Musallah area) and also arrange for catering services
Cemetery
Our cemeteries are sacred places that are entrusted with respectfully caring for deceased individuals.
These cemeteries are designed to provide a respectful and appropriate resting place for deceased Muslims in accordance with Islamic religious and cultural traditions
